support our work

fuel community programming

Each year, Urban Indigenous Collective serve Indigenous people across Lenapehoking (New York City) through our community-centered programming, healing initiatives, and advocacy efforts.

From wellness and mental health care, to youth mentorship, cultural education, mutual aid, and land-based healing. Our work is guided by Indigenous knowledge, community accountability, and a commitment to collective liberation.

Giving & Donations

There are many ways to give. Whether through one-time or recurring donations, workplace giving, in-kind contributions, peer to peer campaigns or sponsoring a specific community event or initiative. Every gift to Urban Indigenous Collective directly supports Indigenous wellness, visibility, and long-term self-determination for current and future generations.

All donations to Urban Indigenous Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Workplace giving

Workplace Giving

Support Indigenous Wellness Through Your Workplace

Workplace giving is a powerful way to support Urban Indigenous Collective’s mission while also encouraging a culture of reciprocity within your organization. Your employer may offer payroll deductions, employee giving portals, matching gifts, or volunteer time match programs to increase your impact.

Payroll Contributions

Employee Resource Group & Affinity Group Partnerships

Employer Matching Gifts

Make a recurring gift through your employer’s payroll system. Small monthly gifts create long-term stability for our wellness, education, and land-based healing programs.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers match employee donations 1:1 or even 2:1. Your contribution could go twice as far in supporting Indigenous communities across Lenapehoking.

Teams can contribute their professional expertise—such as data analysis, design, fundraising, photography, videography, or marketing—to strengthen our programs.

Alignment & Accountability

Urban Indigenous Collective is committed to partnerships that align with our mission, values, and community. We partner only with companies whose external practices and internal culture do not violate or contradict Indigenous sovereignty, environmental justice, survivor safety, or community well-being.

peer to peer campaigns

Peer-to-Peer Campaigns

Mobilize Your Community to Support Indigenous Wellness

Peer-to-peer (P2P) campaigns are one of the most impactful ways to support UIC’s mission. By calling in your community, friends, family, colleagues, affinity groups, or social networks, you help us reach people who may never have connected with our organization otherwise.

Alignment & Accountability

How It Works

  1. Create a Personal Campaign Page
Dedicate your birthday, a holiday, a run/walk, or a community moment to support Indigenous-led healing.
  2. Share Your Story
Tell your community why Indigenous sovereignty, wellness, and justice matter to you.
  3. Invite People to Give
Every gift, no matter the size, helps sustain our programs year-round.

Perfect for:

  • Corporate ERG fundraisers (linked to Workplace Giving)
  • Pride month fundraisers (linked to IndigiPride)
  • Focused campaigns (linked to MMIWG2S+ Summit)
  • Year-end giving and celebrations
  • Cultural or community events

Why Peer-to-Peer Campaigns Matter

P2P campaigns increase awareness across networks, support organizational sustainability, and empower community members to become ambassadors for Indigenous people’s wellness in a city that lacks direct services for us.

Partner With UIC to Support Indigenous Celebration, Healing

Sponsoring an Urban Indigenous Collective event is an opportunity to support intergenerational healing, community building, cultural celebration, and Indigenous sovereignty in NYC.

We offer sponsorship opportunities across our three cornerstone events.

Alignment in Sponsorships & Partnerships

UIC accepts sponsorships only from partners whose internal practices and external corporate behavior do not cause harm to Indigenous people, survivors, or the environment. We do not partner with companies whose work conflicts with our mission, values, or community safety.
